Čiovo is a small island opposite Split, separated from the mainland by a sea strait 200 m wide in the area of Trogir until about 8 km far from the beach near our house. This position allows the island to be connected to the mainland by two bridges, so the island is easily and at any time accessible without waiting for the ferry. You don’t have to, but you can also use the ferry from the nearby dock on the island for transport, for example, to Split and other destinations. The distance of our house from the airport is about 12 km, so it is easy and cheap to get to the place (by Uber, taxi, etc.). You will go through the famous historical town of Trogir, which you will certainly visit during your stay. Its architecture, restaurants, shops and markets will surely impress you, especially since it is easy to get here by bike.
On the Čiovo Island, you can take the local dead-end and quiet road that runs just past the sea to reach our villa, which is only 53 steps away from the sea with its beautiful white beach. The house is situated in the quiet eastern part of the island, almost at the end of the populated area of Slatine. Further beyond the end of the surrounding low buildings is just the wooded tip of the island and on it beautiful beaches oriented to the three cardinal points – north, east and west. You will certainly not find any tall hotels with hundreds of rooms, kilometres of sandy beaches, flashy promenades with expensive restaurants and noisy nightclubs on the island. On the contrary, this location will offer a peaceful stay and relaxation with swimming on smaller pebble beaches separated by the island’s headlands, so you won’t even need a swimsuit. You can choose a calmer and warmer sea right in front of the house in an approximately 5 km wide bay on the northern side of the tip of the island or the open sea with a southern view of the Brač islands, about 20 km away. And on the eastern tip of our island you will find real wilderness and a rocky coastline suitable for diving.
